Football Game Preview: Puyallup Vikings vs. Kamiak Knights + Official Tickets

The Puyallup Vikings will face off against the Kamiak Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Puyallup knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Kamiak likes a good challenge.

Puyallup is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Graham-Kapowsin, who was ranked tenth at the time (Puyallup was ranked first). The Vikings really took it to the Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 43-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Puyallup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayden Woodland led the charge by picking up 81 receiving yards and two TDs. The Vikings also got help from Lawson Looker, who showed off his sure hands for 101 receiving yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Puyallup's defense and their three sacks. Michael Pulalasi was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Meanwhile, Kamiak posted their closest victory since October 18, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jackson, sneaking past 6-3.

Puyallup pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.6 points on average over those games. As for Kamiak, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
