Eads and Plateau Valley squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Eads had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Cowboys. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Eads had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Anna Wollert paced Eads' offense, picking up 20 kills. Wollert got some help from Emma Wollert and her 16 assists. Jordynn Turcotte controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eads' loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Plateau Valley, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-1.

Eads does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Plateau Valley, they will face off against Stratton at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
