After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rochester, University Prep was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the South Whidbey Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pumas have posted since May 1, 2025.
The team relied heavily on Paddy Sainsbury, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Finley Kamb also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
University Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for South Whidbey, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
