Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ironwood Ridge). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 91-63 victory over the Rio Rico Hawks. With the Nighthawks ahead 57-36 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Ironwood Ridge was led to victory by Lucas Anderson and Emilio Valle. Anderson shot 63% from the field on his way to 25 points along with five boards and four steals, while Valle went 10-for-14 en route to 24 points and five rebounds. The Nighthawks are 2-1 when Valle posts 15 or more points, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Derek Overton, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Ironwood Ridge pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. As for Rio Rico, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Ironwood Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against ALA - Gilbert North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rio Rico, they will venture away from home to face off against Tanque Verde at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
