Softball Game Preview: Castle Rock Rockets vs. Fort Vancouver Trappers

Castle Rock is a perfect 3-0 against Fort Vancouver since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Trappers at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Castle Rock and four for Fort Vancouver.

Things were looking good for Castle Rock after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Toutle Lake by a score of 10-9. Rockets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Ducks since on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fort Vancouver came up short against Mountain View on Tuesday and fell 9-4.

Castle Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Fort Vancouver, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Everything went Castle Rock's way against Fort Vancouver in their previous meeting back in March of 2016, as Castle Rock made off with a 28-0 win. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Trappers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
