East Central came out on top against Laurel on Tuesday thanks in part to Jaxon Cripps's efforts. Nobody could stop Cripps as he went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of East Central's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is undefeated (and 8-12 when he doesn't).

Cripps' strong effort led East Central over Laurel and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
