Recap: Lake Placid Dragons vs. Hardee Wildcats
Winning is just a little bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 22% better than the opposition, a fact the Lake Placid Dragons proved on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-29 win over Hardee. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lake Placid also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Antranique Felton, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 21 rebounds. Felton is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ke'Nise Madison, who scored nine points.
Despite the loss, Hardee saw an underclassman step up: Tylia Graham scored 12 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. Danaelle Pierre was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lake Placid now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Hardee, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Lake Placid will be playing in front of their home fans against Frostproof at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hardee, they will head out on the road to square off against Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
