Basketball Game Preview: Weston Ranch Cougars vs. Legacy Christian Academy Lions

The Weston Ranch Cougars and the Legacy Christian Academy Lions will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. One thing working in Weston Ranch's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Weston Ranch's tournament run continued when they took on Pacifica Christian on Friday. The Cougars fell 77-67 to the Tritons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Damarcus Cobb, who posted 26 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That was a full 38.8% of Weston Ranch's points, marking the third time in a row Cobb has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lyfe Modile, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 18 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vanden.

Legacy Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Weston Ranch, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
