Football Recap: Hurley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Hurley lost against River View back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rebels lost 42-16 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 331st in Virginia, while the Raiders are ranked 97th in West Virginia).

A big part of River View's victory came down to the chemistry between Jeremih Delong and his top target Kaiden Baker. Delong threw for 186 yards and two TDs while Baker gained 78 total yards.

Hurley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for River View, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hurley will challenge Tri-Cities Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for River View, they will take on Sherman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
