Volleyball Game Preview: Zion-Benton Zee-Bees vs. North Chicago Warhawks

The Zion-Benton Zee-Bees will venture away from home to face off against the North Chicago Warhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Zion-Benton came up short against Antioch and fell 2-0.

Zion-Benton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, North Chicago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Lakes.

While North Chicago was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22.

Zion-Benton has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season. As for North Chicago, their loss dropped their record down to 0-20.

Zion-Benton was able to grind out a solid victory over North Chicago in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Zee-Bees since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
