Softball Recap: P.K. Yonge Blue Wave vs. Andrew Jackson Tigers
P.K. Yonge was handed a 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Andrew Jackson Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Wave have posted since April 19, 2024.
Makenzie Radford made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Radford was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Emma Mansfield and Sydney Corona did most of the damage at the plate: Mansfield scored three runs while going 3-for-4, while Corona scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
