Baseball Recap: Linton-Stockton Comes Up Short

Linton-Stockton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orleans Bulldogs. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Linton-Stockton now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Orleans, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Linton-Stockton will be playing at home against Terre Haute South Vigo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Orleans, they will take on Crawford County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
