Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Beats East Troy for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Jefferson hadn't done well against East Troy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Trojans 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The win didn't come easy: East Troy scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-21.

Ella Fetherston paced Jefferson's offense, picking up 19 kills. Fetherston got some help from Finley Sikora and her 36 assists. Sikora was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why East Troy lost, don't look at Carli Murphy. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and three assists.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for East Troy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Jefferson has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Monroe on the 25th. As for East Troy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Lakeside Lutheran on the 27th.
