Softball Recap: Russellville's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Russellville extended their postseason success on Monday against Ardmore. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Golden Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Kaylee Suggs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alexia Groce was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Blevyn Sappington was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Russellville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-29-1. As for Ardmore, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 28-18-1.

As of now, neither Russellville nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
