Paris proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Mount Vernon Tigers 3-2. The win continues a trend for Paris in their matchups with Mount Vernon: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got Paris back to even at 5-5. As for Mount Vernon, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Paris is set to face off against their familiar foe North Lamar at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mount Vernon will square off against rival Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
