Baseball Recap: Friday Harbor Takes a Loss

Friday Harbor was the 9-3 winner over Lynden Christian when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines fell just short of the Lyncs by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marcos Soto made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Joseph Holt was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Friday Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lynden Christian, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Friday Harbor will venture away from home to take on South Whidbey at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lynden Christian, they will welcome Meridian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lyncs 3.5, the Trojans 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
