Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Comes Up Short

Christian Heritage won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They came up short against the Crooked Oak Ruf-Nex, falling 56-32. The match marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Crooked Oak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Garcia led the charge by going 6 of 11 en route to 19 points and six steals. Garcia has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Jamel Morris was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Christian Heritage moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Crooked Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
