Baseball Game Preview: Wheaton Academy Warriors vs. Kaneland Knights

Wheaton Academy is 2-8 against Kaneland since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Wheaton Academy will host Kaneland at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Wheaton Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

On Tuesday, Wheaton Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Montini Catholic, taking the game 12-7. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jackson From was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Gino Spinelli, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Kaneland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over Aurora Christian.

Wheaton Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Kaneland, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Wheaton Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Kaneland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Does Wheaton Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Kaneland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
