West Bend-Mallard can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the South Central Calhoun Titans 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-9 two weeks ago.

West Bend-Mallard picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for South Central Calhoun, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

West Bend-Mallard didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Sioux Central on the 13th. As for South Central Calhoun, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 19-5 defeat against Emmetsburg on the 13th.
