Basketball Recap: Beaver Local Takes a Loss

Beaver Local was the 50-46 winner over Minerva when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Beaver Local Beavers were dealt a 58-15 loss at the hands of the Minerva Lions on Thursday.

Beaver Local dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Minerva, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Beaver Local and Minerva could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Beaver Local (ranked 520th) will meet Columbiana (ranked 115th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Minerva will challenge Tuscarawas Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday down 328 places (396 vs. 68).
