Baseball Recap: Dublin Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Toombs County, Dublin was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Wheeler County Bulldogs 14-1. The Fighting Irish have beaten the Bulldogs the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Xavier Reese was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Davis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Dublin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Wheeler County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Dublin will head out to square off against Toombs County at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Wheeler County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
