Arlington hadn't done well against Yutan recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Arlington Eagles escaped with a win against the Yutan Chieftains by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Leading Arlington to victory were Emerson Timm and Britt Nielsen. Timm almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists, while Nielsen went 7 of 12 on her way to 18 points and five boards. Hailey O'Daniel was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Arlington's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Yutan, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington will head out to square off against Fort Calhoun at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Timm and Raeann Massey. As for Yutan, they will head out on the road to challenge Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
