Myers Park's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-11. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything came up roses for Myers Park against Ballantyne Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 53-15 victory. In that game, Myers Park amassed a halftime lead of 32-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
