Having just played yesterday, the Hope Academy Trojan Tigers will get right back to it and host the Cocoa Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Hope Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 835 points over their last 12 contests.
Hope Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 89-53 win over Four Corners. Considering Hope Academy has won five games by more than 25 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Hope Academy found their leader in underclassman Dwayne Foreman III, who scored 23 points along with six assists and four steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Foreman III has scored at least 25% of Hope Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Shine, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, even though Celebration scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Cocoa still came out on top. Cocoa breezed by Celebration at home to the tune of 90-60. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Cocoa has managed all season.
Travon Graves continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cocoa's points. Damien Bryant was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Hope Academy pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Cocoa, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Fans should be in for an exciting game on Wednesday as Hope Academy and Cocoa are among the highest scoring teams in the league right now. Hope Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 68.7 points per game. However, it's not like Cocoa struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 64.5 points per game.
