Neosho waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Glendale Falcons. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kanten Smith was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Drake Jennings, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Smith wasn't the only one making solid contact: Neosho kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Neosho's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Glendale, their defeat ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neosho will host Mt. Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Glendale, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Springdale at 4:30 p.m. The Falcons are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
