Baseball Preview: Crestwood Comets vs. Tunkhannock Tigers

The Crestwood Comets will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Tunkhannock Tigers at 4:15 p.m. The last three games Crestwood has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Crestwood had to settle for a 7-6 defeat against Berwick.

Trevor Miller and Chaz Wright did some serious damage despite the final result: Miller went 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Wright scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Caleb McManus was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tunkhannock came into Thursday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Elk Lake by a score of 6-1 last Thursday. The victory was just what Tunkhannock needed coming off of an 11-0 loss in their prior game.
