Baseball Recap: Stoutland Victorious

Stoutland won the last time they faced Stover and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2.

Brodie Millsap made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Millsap was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, Jesse Dickinson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aaron Franklin, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases.

Stoutland's record is now 13-7. As for Stover, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Looking ahead, Stoutland is taking a road trip to face off against Newburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stover, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prairie Home at 5:00 p.m. on May 5.
