Baseball Game Preview: Rockford Warriors vs. Baxter

The Rockford Warriors will head out to challenge Baxter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rockford has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Rockford is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS on Tuesday. They came up short against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS, falling 18-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Baxter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 11-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Baxter considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Rockford's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Baxter, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.

Rockford might still be hurting after the 12-0 defeat they got from Baxter in their previous meeting back in June of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
