Football Recap: Three Lakes Comes Up Short

Three Lakes had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-4 to make it four. They took a blow against the Wabeno/Laona Rebels, falling 52-6. The Bluejays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

As for Wabeno/Laona, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

It was another big night for Cooper Albrecht, who threw for 124 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Reegan Roy, who rushed for 83 yards and one score on only five carries.

Coming up, Three Lakes will welcome Florence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wabeno/Laona, they will head out to take on Niagara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
