Softball Recap: Paris Tigers vs. Villa Grove Blue Devils
While Paris's victory against Villa Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Blue Devils 11-10. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Kayleigh Miller was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mattie Carter, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
With the win, Paris broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-16. As for Villa Grove, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paris will host Richland County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Villa Grove, they will welcome Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
