Basketball Recap: Portersville Christian Comes Up Short

On Saturday, Portersville Christian took a blow against the Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers, falling 107-40. Portersville Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chester Charter Scholars Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nieem Gregory out in front who went 8 of 10 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Griffin-Soto, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five steals.

Portersville Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Portersville Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jefferson County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, they will head out to take on Mount Calvary Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
