Volleyball Recap: West Liberty-Salem Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when West Liberty-Salem took on Fairbanks on Saturday. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Naomi Cole paced West Liberty-Salem's offense, picking up 12 kills. Cole got some help from Sophia Landon and her ten assists. Reese Winters controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West Liberty-Salem now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fairbanks, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

West Liberty-Salem didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Northeastern on the 26th. As for Fairbanks, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mechanicsburg on the 26th.
