Volleyball Recap: Packinghouse Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Packinghouse Christian Academy was the 3-1 winner over Mesa Grande Academy when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell 3-1 to the Cardinals on Thursday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Packinghouse Christian Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mesa Grande Academy work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 27-25, 19-25, 25-18.

Miranda Nordquist paced Packinghouse Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Nordquist got some help from Savannah Ybarra and her 16 assists. Nordquist was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Packinghouse Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Mesa Grande Academy, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Packinghouse Christian Academy has already played their next match (against Norton Science & Language Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
