Saige Casey Game Report: vs St. Helens

While Scappoose might've come up empty on Thursday, Saige Casey wasn't going down without a fight. Casey wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with one or fewer earned runs.

Even though Casey couldn't lead Scappoose over St. Helens, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Casey's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Indians' ten-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Casey and the Indians surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Monday's match.
