Baseball Recap: Canisius Takes a Loss

Canisius suffered their biggest loss since May 16, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Orchard Park Quakers, falling 13-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Quakers: they've now lost three in a row.

Gavin Eynon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Justin Ostempowski was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Canisius now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Orchard Park, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Canisius is taking a road trip to square off against Clarence at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orchard Park, they will square off against Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
