5A District 1 recap October 8, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A District 1 this week, Byrd beat Lakeshore 55-21. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Parkway took down Washington 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Captain Shreve's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Gators feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Eric Mosley has thrown for 111 yards this season, while Donovan Banks has 7 catches for 94 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Captain Shreve takes on the Panthers. At the moment, the Gators are in fourth, while Parkway is in first.
Airline made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,026 from 2,105. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 30-20 victory over the Vikings last week.
