One of the top teams in the MaxPreps Small Schools National Football Rankings, Coldwater is one of the favorites to win a state championship in Ohio this year. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, however, as Coldwater has proven to be the top small school football program in the country over the past 17 seasons.

According to the CalPreps Dynasty Rankings, Coldwater ranks as the top small school team in the country since 2003. The Cavaliers have a 53.2 rating, which puts them ahead of another Ohio school in No. 2 Marion Local (Maria Stein, Ohio). Coldwater has posted six state titles since 2003, including four in a row from 2012 to 2015.

The dynasty ranking is the average of all of a team's previous computer ratings, in this case since 2003.

Texas has the most teams on the Top 25 list with five while Nebraska, Florida and Georgia each have three and Ohio and California each have two teams on the list.
