Weslaco has gone 8-1-1 against Edinburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will host the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Weslaco will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

Weslaco proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since February 10th.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Edinburg took on Economedes on Tuesday. The Bobcats blew past the Jaguars 12-2. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Edinburg got a massive performance out of Catelynn Castillo, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Castillo a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Rebecca Torrez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Weslaco's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edinburg, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Weslaco took their win against Edinburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
