Volleyball Recap: Bryant Takes a Loss

Bryant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Conway Wampus Cats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wampus Cats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Bryant had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Bryant still got an impressive performance from Livi Smith, who had six digs and four aces.

Leading Conway to victory were Kensey Nichols and Braylin Merritt. Nichols had 13 digs and two aces, while Merritt had seven digs and one assist.

Bryant's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18-3. As for Conway, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.

Bryant didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Southside on the 23rd. As for Conway, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Benton on the 23rd.
