Basketball Game Preview: Mackay Miners vs. Taylor's Crossing Eagles

Mackay has gone 4-0 against Taylor's Crossing recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mackay Miners will look to defend their home court against the Taylor's Crossing Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Mackay will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Mackay earned a 52-43 win over Sho-Ban.

Mackay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryker Summers led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Summers is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cooper Holt, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Taylor's Crossing was able to grind out a solid victory over Alturas Prep on Thursday, taking the game 53-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Taylor's Crossing's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mackay, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Mackay was able to grind out a solid win over Taylor's Crossing in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 59-49. Does Mackay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Taylor's Crossing turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
