Soccer Recap: Portland Extends Winning Streak to Four

Portland hadn't done well against White House recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Portland never let White House get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. Given Portland's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while White House are ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Portland's offense was hitting White House from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Bryson Hill led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win keeps Portland at an undefeated 7-0-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for White House, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
