Soccer Recap: Flowing Wells Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sabino last Thursday, Flowing Wells came back down to earth. The Flowing Wells Caballeros came up short against the Salpointe Catholic Lancers on Saturday, falling 8-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Caballeros in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Flowing Wells' loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Salpointe Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Flowing Wells will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Vista Grande at 6:00 p.m. As for Salpointe Catholic, they will head out to take on Tucson High Magnet School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Salpointe Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.
