Football Game Preview: Victor Pirates vs. Charlo Vikings

Victor is 1-7 against Charlo since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Victor will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating St. Ignatius, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. The Pirates blew past the Bulldogs, posting a 44-8 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charlo). They enjoyed a cozy 48-30 victory over Troy on Friday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Charlo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Victor, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Victor beat Charlo 28-18 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
