Basketball Game Preview: Peabody-Burns Warriors vs. Goessel Bluebirds

Peabody-Burns hasn't had much luck against Goessel recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Peabody-Burns Warriors will host the Goessel Bluebirds at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Peabody-Burns opened the new year with a less-than-successful 66-56 loss to Pike Valley. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Goessel was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-36 heartbreaker at the hands of Douglass.

Peabody-Burns' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Goessel, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Peabody-Burns might still be hurting after the 64-39 loss they got from Goessel in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Thankfully for Peabody-Burns, Noah Schrag (who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 31 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
