There's no place like home for Fort Wayne Canterbury, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves 3-0 on Thursday. The Cavaliers were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Braves, so the Cavaliers were just returning the favor.

While Fort Wayne Canterbury won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 28-26, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Myllah Sommer had 14 assists and seven digs. Sommer is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. JaeLyn Pickett also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Fort Wayne Canterbury's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Fort Wayne Canterbury will host Elkhart Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The game will give the Cavaliers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they will take on Woodlan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight.
