Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Rancho Cucamonga will face off against Los Osos. The Cougars will welcome the Grizzlies at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Cucamonga will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Rancho Cucamonga needed a bit of extra time to put away Los Osos. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Grizzlies 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Rancho Cucamonga got a great performance from Mason Sanchez as he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave Sanchez a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Rancho Cucamonga's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Peyton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Rancho Cucamonga's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Los Osos, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
