Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Victorious

Elkhart posted their closest victory since September 6th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the West Lafayette Red Devils.

Rylee Drummond paced Elkhart's offense, picking up ten kills. Drummond got some help from Ava Polack and her 16 assists. Ava Walker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why West Lafayette lost, don't look at Sophie Lee. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two aces. Lee has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Elkhart's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for West Lafayette, they moved to 13-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Elkhart has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lake Central on the 27th. As for West Lafayette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Homestead on the 27th.
