Softball Game Preview: Eastern Tech Mavericks vs. Dulaney Lions

The Eastern Tech Mavericks will face off against the Dulaney Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Eastern Tech: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Dulaney has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Hereford hit Eastern Tech with a four-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mavericks fell 12-7 to the Bulls.

Meanwhile, Dulaney made easy work of Sparrows Point on Friday and carried off an 11-1 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Kimani Dennis was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Lila Gordon, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI.

Dulaney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

Dulaney's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Eastern Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Eastern Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Dulaney in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
