Softball Recap: Ridgemont Has No Trouble Against Crestline

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waynesfield-Goshen, Ridgemont was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Crestline Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Golden Gophers, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ridgemont got a massive performance out of Riley Hites, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Hites a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kylie Shreve, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Ridgemont's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Crestline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Coming up, Ridgemont will be playing at home against McComb at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestline, they will head out to take on Elgin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
