Baseball Recap: Frankfort Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Frankfort Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 23-16 to the Brown Bears. Even if the Royals couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Landon Jones and Jack Whitman stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jones scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Whitman scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Those hits were Jones' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Baylor Webb, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Frankfort Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Brown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankfort Christian Academy will square off against Williamstown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brown, they will take on Jeffersontown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
